  • You will travel in a minivan together on this trip. You may find the extra space to be a bit cramped. This is all part of the adventure, and it’s a great way for you to meet other travellers. For travel time estimates, please read carefully the itinerary.

Detailled Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca

Salaam Aleikum! Morocco, welcome! Your family and you will be met at the airport. You will then be taken to your hotel. There is no activity planned until the important welcome meeting at 5. Casablanca is limited in time so it’s a good idea to arrive a day early to explore the city. The city, which is modeled after Marseille, France, is known for its art deco buildings, and the modern-day masterpiece that it houses, the Hassan II Mosque. It is a pleasant way to spend the day exploring Casablanca. You can wander the old medina, walk the city walls and then take a taxi to the Quartiers Des Habous, the new Medina. Take a stroll along the Corniche to watch the locals playing football on the beaches, or relax with a cup of sweet mint tea at one of the great cafes.

Accommodation

  • Idou Anfa Hotel, or similar (1 night).

Includes Activities

  • Complimentary Airport Transfer

All Meals Included

We will need to collect insurance details and information about next-of-kin for every member of your family. It is very important that you attend this meeting. Please let the hotel reception or your travel agent know if you will be arriving late. For more information about where the meeting will be held, ask reception or find a note in lobby.

Only if you arrive on Day 1 and have pre-booked accommodation through Intrepid, the arrival transfer will be valid. We may not be able confirm requests made within 14 days of travel if you do not provide flight details.

Day 2: Fes

After breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour through the Hassan II mosque. Then, you will head to Fes, the spiritual and cultural center of Morocco. This takes approximately 4 hours. Fes is a vibrant, noisy and fascinating city that’s overwhelming and a feast for the eyes. The old city, also known as Fes el Bali in local Spanish, is undoubtedly the most intriguing and confusing old city in the world. Medieval Fes was a world-renowned centre for education and culture, both Islamic as well as Jewish. Its libraries and religious institutions are legendary. The mosques are of outstanding renown. Take a walking tour of the city tomorrow. Then, you can relax and take a dip in the pool.

You may also be able to spot barbary apes, North Africa’s only monkey. This market town was originally built to serve as a mining base in the region. It is surrounded with farms and orchards. You can take a stroll through Bremmem to get a glimpse into local farming life or check out a traditional Midelt music performance.

Today, its grand kasbah is a fine example clay architecture and has been designated a World Heritage Site. You can visit the kasbah in the afternoon to take a look around. Stop for tea at the Cooperative Tawesna. Tawesna is located between the riverbank and the palm trees. It was established by the women’s association in 2018. This is the first ever income-generating activity that the association has led.
