Salaam Aleikum! Morocco, welcome! Your family and you will be met at the airport. You will then be taken to your hotel. There is no activity planned until the important welcome meeting at 5. Casablanca is limited in time so it’s a good idea to arrive a day early to explore the city. The city, which is modeled after Marseille, France, is known for its art deco buildings, and the modern-day masterpiece that it houses, the Hassan II Mosque. It is a pleasant way to spend the day exploring Casablanca. You can wander the old medina, walk the city walls and then take a taxi to the Quartiers Des Habous, the new Medina. Take a stroll along the Corniche to watch the locals playing football on the beaches, or relax with a cup of sweet mint tea at one of the great cafes.

Fes is a vibrant, noisy and fascinating city that’s overwhelming and a feast for the eyes. The old city, also known as Fes el Bali in local Spanish, is undoubtedly the most intriguing and confusing old city in the world. Medieval Fes was a world-renowned centre for education and culture, both Islamic as well as Jewish. Its libraries and religious institutions are legendary. The mosques are of outstanding renown. Take a walking tour of the city tomorrow. Then, you can relax and take a dip in the pool.
