  • This trip is brand new in our portfolio this year. We have done our research and are confident in the logistics of this trip. However, we sometimes get surprises at new locations. It’ll surprise you more often than not. There might be an occasional hiccup. That’s why we like to call it adventure travel.
  • It is essential that you can ride a bike confidently and proficiently in order to enjoy this trip. You will need to be fit for this trip, which involves climbing hills.
  • Morocco can be very hot in the summer, and quite cool in the winter. Consider when is the best time to travel.
  • Ramadan 2023 will be from 22 March through 20 April. While traveling during Ramadan can be a wonderful cultural experience, some services may not be available during daytime.

Day 2: Atlas Mountains Cycle & Hike

Get breakfast ready before you head out about an hour from Marrakech to enjoy a day of hiking and cycling in the Atlas Mountains. After a brief safety briefing with your leader you can put on your helmet and get on your bike. You will ride along a smooth path before turning off the beaten track to ride through Berber villages. As you climb higher and more difficult trails, your adrenaline reserves will be tapped. After the ride, get back in your private vehicle and drive to Imlil. This Berber village is high up in the mountains. Take a relaxing walk along the shoreline. Today, we will continue on the road to Imlil, where we will hike approximately 50 minutes to Aroumd. This creates amazing views and plenty of adventure opportunities. You can swap your bike for a camel and ride across dunes to our campsite, where you will be served hot mint tea. Enjoy a traditional meal and embrace your surroundings tonight. Take a desert walk together and watch the sun set over the dunes. For a spectacular night sky, keep your eyes up. Enjoy live Gnaoua music at camp before retiring to your tent for the night.
